Police said they arrested a man Sunday after he tried to claim someone elses Social Security Number and date of birth as his own. Marcus Story, 203 Jaybird St., Newport, was charged with identity theft after police were dispatched to a call complaining about an unwelcome guest.

ELIZABETHTON — An employee of Happy Valley Credit Union was arrested by the Elizabethton Police Department on Friday on a grand jury presentment charging her with 13 counts of forgery and one count of identity theft.
